social research carbon storage

This social research project analysed the attitude of farmers related to carbon storage

RDS Partners reviewed farmer awareness levels and attitudes about carbon storage and trading issues as they relate to farm forestry on their properties.  This work was part of a larger project with Private Forests Tasmania.

RDS Partners undertook both quantitative and qualitative social research with 64 Tasmanian farmers through an online survey, phone interviews and in-depth case studies.

The analysis provided by RDS Partners assisted policy makers to understand the needs and perspectives of farmers about how they see the complex world of carbon production and storage. It also enabled farmers to understand what their peers were saying about carbon issues.
